This weekend was an absolute whirlwind of activity and excitement here at the homestead! The highlight? We finally got the plastic up on the high tunnel! 🌟 It’s a game-changer for our gardening season, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Seeing that high tunnel standing tall and ready to protect our precious plants feels like a huge milestone.
But the fun didn’t stop there. I had the most wonderful little helper by my side, and together, we managed to plant a variety of vegetables that are sure to bring bountiful harvests. We got cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant, brussels sprouts, and Swiss chard nestled into their new homes inside the high tunnel. It was such a joy to see those seedlings go into the ground, knowing they’ll thrive in their new environment.
There’s still work to be done, of course. I have tomatoes and peppers eagerly waiting to be planted inside the high tunnel. And outside, we’ve got cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, melons, and eight other varieties of vegetables ready to find their spots in the garden.
This is just the beginning of what promises to be an abundant growing season. Stay tuned for more updates as our garden continues to grow and flourish. Happy planting, everyone! 🌱
